Plotting Post!
Comment here with the character(s) you're playing and tell us a bit about them, their lives, social circles, hobbies, what they're up to etc so we can work out how the character lives intertwine.
Also feel free to start discussing possible story lines and things to rp!
This is more or less the sequel to this post, so have a look there as well
Copypasta :V
A young student (20-21 yrs), Mordred lives under the care of a man named Ruadan and his daughter, Sefa. While Mordred feels that this his stay with Ruadan and Sefa may be impermanent, he's still cautiously willing to imagine himself becoming part of their family.
At a very young age, Mordred's father was killed (as far as he knows) in a car accident. His mother never having been mentioned while his father was still alive –Mordred suspects that she left them, and that his father, Cerdan, took this as an unforgivable betrayal– Mordred was left to drift between various foster homes starting at a very young age. He has shifted foster homes/parents several times: from a man named Iseldir, to Aglain, Alvarr, and then finally Ruadan. (I have tentative backstories for his experiences with each of these men, but I'll hold off for now in the interest of being brief.)
As an adult, Mordred is reserved but not unwilling to open up to people. He feels a strong connection to nature, and has a knack for maths and the hard sciences. I can play him as either having magic and being aware of how to use it, or (if we aren't introducing magic into this verse or are planning to introduce it as the characters regain their memories) I can have him slowly rediscovering his powers along with the other magic users in the verse.
Possible social circles/muse connections «
- I see him as knowing Morgana well and having a strong personal attachment to her. (This can be because he looks up to her as a mentor, considers her a good and trustworthy friend, or because he has a (likely one-sided?) romantic attachment to her. :V)
- I see him as knowing Merlin and Arthur, but not being as close to them as he is to Morgana.
- In an AU move on my part, he knows Ruadan and Sefa and has lived with them for five years. Ruadan and Mordred have a good relationship, with Mordred viewing Ruadan as a mentor and tentative father figure. Sefa and Mordred also have a good relationship and attend the same local university together.
Lancelot
Lancelot considers his friends to be his surrogate family, and would do anything for them. This includes assuming responsibility for drunken friends, grabbing food from his place of work for those among his social group who happen to be broke university students (or just broke in general), acting as an emergency contact, etc.
Possible social circles/muse connections:
- He probably knows Arthur, Merlin, Guinevere, Gwaine and a few others. Open to any kind of overlapping/whatever people want! \o/
- I usually play him as being in love with Guinevere, but if that doesn't work I'm happy to play him differently.
/sliiiides on in here
I have a general idea about what I want to do with Gwen AU wise but nothing too detailed at the minute. Obviously her parents have both passed away and she works hard for a living to support herself (and maybe to pay for uni/college). How would you feel about Gwen working at the diner along with Lancelot? As a cleaner? Or a waitress? Part time.
p.s I'm totally fine with him being in love with Gwen XD

I'm fine with Gwen and Lancelot working together at the diner. :D Perhaps they were friends beforehand and decided to work there together?
Woo, all right. ♥

Arthur is in his mid-twenties and is currently going to grad school/getting his masters in order to put off going into whatever his father wants him to go into. He's studying some combination of history/business/politics and while he enjoys it, it probably wouldn't have been his first choice. He spends a lot of time working to make sure that his grades are perfect due to familial and personal pressure, but he's also a very social person. Arthur can be charming and make people think he's such a good guy, but don't be fooled.
The pressures he faces now are similar to the pressures he faced growing up, so he's used to them even if they aren't the healthiest thing to live with. He grew up with only his father (and maybe Morgana?) so he strives to be the best son he can be. But that doesn't stop him from acting like an entitled prat from time to time.
possible social circles/muse connections
-Uther is his father so.
-Morgana, if they're related or not, probably know each other through their families (and would most likely have an antagonistic yet loving relationship)
-knows Mordred through Morgana
-friends with Lancelot, Gwen, Merlin, Gwaine etc... we can discuss if they went to school together or just know each other via the diner

Possible Connections

Gwen is currently in her early twenties and she is studying at the local college/uni part time. I can imagine her studying for some kind of caring profession...midwifery, nursing or something similar. She works hard for class and she works just as hard out of class to provide herself with a living. She works alongside Lancelot at the local diner as a waitress/cleaner type person. Just doing odd jobs really.
Both of her parents passed away her mother when she was young (car accident) and her father not long ago due to health issues, cancer maybe. She's polite, helpful but can often say things without thinking and become flustered (because S1 awkward!Gwen = love).
Possible Connections
- Lancelot since she works at the diner and I can see them having been friends before starting to work there.
- Good friends with Morgana or maybe a past friendship with her with them drifting apart. I can play either!
- She'll also know Arthur and Merlin maybe from school or just from the diner/mutual friends.
- Others she would probably have seen around the diner etc.
Honestly open to ANY AND ALL THE CR!

Morgana's a tabloid baby. It doesn't help her mother, Vivienne, was a socialite in her time, and Morgana's father was a political power player, until his death. While she has an older sister, Morgana's never been close to her, as the sisters were split up after her father's death.
The death is still shrouded in mystery. Odd how a man, on the road to his country home, a road he's driven his entire life, can suddenly swerve off into a culvert. What's weirder? It was three days before the car was found, as no one knew he was heading, last he was seen.
Essentially, she's grown up in front of the press. It's a matter of pride that she's never actually responded to a single photographer's taunts. It takes a lot for Morgana to lose her cool, but that doesn't mean she isn't somewhat simmering under the surface. Little of what Morgana actually thinks or feels sits on the surface. She's a hard person to know.
Following in the family's footsteps (her father, not her mother -- don't ask about her mother) Morgana's studying politic science. She's well into her post-graduate studies, and is a very common sight on campus. The campus is a safe haven, and nearby eateries, etc., as the press usually don't bother her there.
She's had nightmares since she was child. Don't mention that.
Social Circles
Morgana knows power players, but more through the child's perspective, given she was often out and about with her father.
I'd like her to be friends with Gwen: someone needs to know her, and someone with whom she can be herself.
Mordred: I can see her knowing him for years, if that is cool.
If she knows the rest of the crew in passing, or has some previously unknown connection to them, that would be cool.
